last minute notes of the year...

i have clearly been slacking with the blogging recently...but, it is part of my new plan for making myself feel better.  i figured since it has been a month that i would do a quick re-cap before we head into 2011.


this is aaron's second christmas in his (soon to be our) house.  the day after thanksgiving we went and picked out our little tree and from then on we had a good time getting all of the decorations up and getting into the christmas spirit.




miss julep is doing FABULOUS. she will be 4 months old on jan. 2nd and is as much of a puppy as puppy could be.  she has started "school" at petsmart once a week.  she is doing pretty well, except for when she sleeps in class!  she went on her first road trip when we went to shreveport for our annual visit with ca-th-ay and mr. kenny.  julep had a BLAST antagonizing the cats at the house, but loved getting to visit with new friends.  when we were about to head out to leave, julep had plans of her own and started running around like the maniac she is in the backyard having the greatest of times, but getting filthy for our ride home.

lucky for us, she wore herself out for our 6 hour drive home and was pretty much a little angel (i use that term loosely) for the whole ride back.  we were both very glad because we were quite tired by the end of the weekend.

julep managed to find a nice little spot behind my neck to relax.  little did i know that it would be comfy for me too!  we napped some while aaron drove.

on the wedding front, everything is coming together.  for christmas my parents gave us an amazing gift...the jazzmen brass band are going to come in and play a 30 minute set including the second line.  all of you out of towners get ready for this amazing new orleans tradition.  aaron and i were SO excited to get this from my parents.  invitations are in, dress is being worked on, cake is ordered...everything is going well.  just trying to stay on top of things.  as aaron told me last night, "we are into the double digits babe!"

speaking of christmas, we had a great one this year as usual with the fam.  julep loved opening her christmas presents and loved the presents even more!  i think soon she is going to need a toy box.
